Available to

Undergraduate Students


  • An Australian citizen or a New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
  • Completed a minimum of 48 credit points


  • $7500 per annum for one year only
  • Students who obtain a scholarship under this agreement may be invited to apply for an internship or vacation work program with Orica. Should a student wish to take up any such opportunity, any payment for vacation work or an internship would be made in addition to the scholarship under a separate agreement from this scholarship.

Selection Criteria

  • Awarded to the highest achieving students based on academic achievement. Students must have achieved a minimum of a weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 per cent.
  • Students must also demonstrate:
  • Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership potential

Recipients must maintain a minimum of a distinction average (70% of above)
The scholarship cannot be deferred
